Quik Corp is an Australian-owned manufacturer of emergency vehicles, firefighting equipment, retractable hose reels and spray systems, based in Coolum, Queensland. Founded in 1988, the company designs, engineers and builds custom fire units, slip-on firefighting systems, hose reels and specialist vehicles for fire and emergency services, local councils, government departments, mining operators, agricultural contractors and commercial fleets across Australia.

Every product is designed, fabricated and assembled in-house at our purpose-built Queensland facility, with equipment operating in demanding conditions across Australia and internationally.

Our story

From a backyard shed to a 12,000m² facility

In 1988, weed-spraying contractor AJ and his brother-in-law Grant patented the world’s first remote-controlled retractable hose reel — hand-built in a backyard shed and shown at local field days.

Today, under the leadership of Grant’s daughter Fiona Dempster, that idea has grown into Quik Corp: a 12,000m² design, engineering and manufacturing facility in Coolum, Queensland, supplying fire and emergency services, councils, government and agriculture across Australia, with equipment now operating internationally.
