Purpose-built firefighting system
At the heart of this vehicle is a 550L custom undertray baffled water tank, designed to lower the centre of gravity and improve stability. The tank is fully shrouded for protection against heat and punctures, and paired with a 50L reserve for burn-over protection.
Crews can operate safely with:
- Honda GX270 electric-start engine paired with a Davey twin-impeller pump
- Remote-controlled RFR-4 hose reel with 50m of ¾” Gorilla fire hose
- FP135 foam proportioning system with a dedicated 20L foam drum holder
- In-cab burn-over spray system for full-vehicle protection
- Hydrant fill with certified anti-backflow protection
- External fill points for quick and safe refills
This system offers fast and reliable suppression capability, specifically designed for frontline use.
custom lockers & storage solutions
The heavy-duty aluminium body (powder-coated white) houses custom gullwing lockers with stainless steel fittings, ember-proof vents, and rubber-lined shelves. All lockers feature LED lighting that activates when doors are opened.
Key features include:
- Separated fuel and hose storage for safety
- Tie-down points throughout the unit
- 100kg capacity bolt-on roof stowage cage with cargo net option
- Dedicated stowage for drip torches, hydrant standpipe, cones, and chainsaws
- Whole spare tyre storage under the chassis
Every locker and shelf has been configured with WH&S in mind, clearly labelled for hazards, and fitted with non-slip access points.
Integrated electrical & lighting
Safety and visibility are critical in emergency response. This custom LandCruiser firefighting unit is equipped with:
- LED emergency beacon bar (amber/green, 360° visibility)
- Front-mounted LED beacons on bullbar (amber & green selectable)
- Underbody ground lighting and locker-mounted work lights
- Internal locker lights that switch on automatically
- Dual-battery system with monitoring, electronic isolation, and emergency start
- Full integration with customer-supplied VHF radio and communications
Every component is vibration-resistant, waterproof, and designed for prolonged field operations.
engineered for reliability
The structural aluminium subframe and reinforced rear deck ensure strength without excess weight. Critical wiring and brake lines are protected with fire-resistant lagging. At the same time, the dual-battery system allows uninterrupted operation of pumps, lights, and accessories for up to 5 hours independent of the starter battery.
built on a proven platform
This firefighting unit is mounted on a Toyota LandCruiser 79 Series single-cab chassis, a platform renowned for its durability in harsh Australian conditions. With the integrated water tank and balanced weight distribution, the vehicle retains stability and performance on fire trails, steep climbs, and rough terrain.
